Step 2 of 5
✨ About You

Help us get to know you a little better before camp!

📅 Attendance: We assume all registered campers attend the full two weeks (August 4–15). If you can only attend part of the camp, please email lucas.liu.ca2009@gmail.com after registering so we can plan accordingly.
🚗 Authorized Pickup People

List anyone besides the parent/guardian above who is allowed to pick up the camper. We'll only release the camper to people on this list (or the parent/guardian). Leave blank if only the parent/guardian will pick up. You can add multiple people.

Step 3 of 5
🧮 Quick Math Check

This camp moves fast, so every camper takes a short order-of-operations (BEDMAS) check before registering. Answer 10 questions — you need 60% (6 out of 10) to continue. You can retake it as many times as you like, with a fresh set of questions each attempt.

✏️
Ready when you are

10 multiple-choice questions on order of operations. Take your time — there's no timer.

Step 4 of 5
✅ Review Your Application

🔐 Create Your Camp Password
⚠️ Important — please read: Camp admins can view your password in plain text. Do NOT use a password you use anywhere else (school, email, social media, etc.). Pick something simple and unique — you'll only use it here to sign in and track your own stats.
At least 4 characters. You'll use your student email + this password to sign in.
Please create a password (at least 4 characters).
Re-type your password so we know you've got it right.
Passwords don't match — re-type the same password in both boxes.

📋 Consent & Agreement
Read Terms & Conditions — Waiver & Code of Conduct

This agreement is between the parent/guardian of the registered camper ("you") and HigherGrade Tutoring ("the camp", "we", "us") for participation in Summer Math Camp 2026 (August 4–15, 2026) at Sheridan College — Trafalgar Campus, Oakville. Our terms and Code of Conduct are written in our own words and follow the standards used by the Halton District School Board (HDSB). Please read this with your camper before submitting.

1. Participation & informed consent

I give permission for my child to take part in HigherGrade Tutoring's Summer Math Camp and its scheduled activities — on campus and around the campus grounds — for the full run of the program. I confirm the information in this registration is accurate and that I will notify the camp of any changes to medical, contact, or pickup details.

2. Assumption of risk

I understand that camp activities — including time spent moving around a college campus — carry inherent risks that cannot be fully eliminated even with reasonable care, and that accident, injury, illness, or loss is possible. Knowing this, I voluntarily accept those risks on behalf of my child and our family.

3. Medical & emergency care

If my child is injured or becomes ill and I cannot be reached, I authorize camp staff to arrange the emergency medical care they reasonably judge necessary, including calling emergency services and arranging transport to a hospital. I am responsible for the cost of that care. I have disclosed any allergies, medical conditions, or medications the camp needs to be aware of.

4. No accident insurance provided

As is the case with the HDSB, HigherGrade Tutoring does not provide accident or medical insurance for participants. Coverage for personal injury, illness, or loss of or damage to personal property is the family's responsibility, and we recommend arranging student accident insurance if you wish to be covered.

5. Release & indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release HigherGrade Tutoring, its student instructors, organizers, and volunteers, together with Sheridan College, from claims for injury, loss, or damage arising out of ordinary participation in the camp, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. I agree not to hold these parties responsible for incidents that occur despite reasonable supervision and care.

6. Photographs & media

Photo and video consent is optional and is handled by the separate checkbox below. If you do not check it, we will not use your child's image in our promotional materials.

7. Cancellation & refunds

The registration fee helps us reserve space, materials, and refreshments in advance. If you need to withdraw, please contact us as early as possible — refunds for cancellations close to the start date may be limited. If the camp itself is cancelled by us, your fee is refunded in full.

Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct is adapted from the HDSB Code of Conduct, which is based on the Ontario Provincial Code of Conduct (PPM 128). It promotes responsibility, respect, civility, kindness, and academic excellence, and applies to every camper, instructor, and family member while at camp.

Every camper is expected to:

  • Treat all members of the camp community with dignity and respect;
  • Use respectful and kind words and actions when communicating, in person and online;
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity in their work and on the final exam;
  • Take care of camp materials and of the Sheridan College facilities and property;
  • Follow the reasonable instructions of camp staff;
  • Seek help from a staff member to resolve conflict peacefully, and report bullying when they see it.

The following are not permitted at camp:

  • Bullying or harassment of any kind, including cyberbullying;
  • Threatening or intimidating others, inflicting bodily harm, or encouraging others to do so;
  • Possessing a weapon of any kind, or using any object to threaten or intimidate;
  • Hate-motivated speech or behaviour, or any form of discrimination;
  • Possessing, using, or sharing alcohol, cannabis, vapes, or illegal drugs;
  • Vandalism, theft, or damage to camp or campus property.

Consequences. We use a progressive approach: most issues are handled with a reminder and a conversation. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to a call home, removal from an activity, or removal from camp without refund. We will always contact you before any major step.

Heads up to parents: camp runs at Sheridan College — Trafalgar Campus in Oakville. Click the link for Google Maps directions. Specific room and drop-off / pick-up details will be emailed at least two weeks before camp starts.
🚶 Free movement around campus during breaks *

Camp runs at Sheridan College — Trafalgar Campus. During scheduled breaks and the lunch period, campers may want to walk the campus grounds on their own — to grab food, get some fresh air, or stretch between sessions. We strongly recommend allowing this: it's a big part of the camp experience, gives campers a real break to recharge, and builds the independence they'll need in high school. Campers are still expected to follow the Code of Conduct and return on time.
